Jul 27, 2010 - Daniel Florip to Serve With Downtown Development Authority
Law firm attorney Daniel J. Florip has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the City of Alpena Downtown Development Authority.
Florip was appointed to the post by Alpena Mayor Carol Shafto, and approved by the Alpena Municipal Council on July 19. He'll serve a four-year term expiring on August 1, 2014, replacing local jeweler Wayne Calkins, who served two terms.
The DDA works closely with the City of Alpena, Downtown Alpena Business Association, Alpena Convention and Visitors Bureau, Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce, Target Alpena Development Corporation, and many other groups throughout the community to support activities which help grow both downtown and the community.
